A short history of Nexia

1. 1960A new global accounting network is founded as S&O International by Oppenheim Appel Dixon & Associates (USA) and Spicer & Pegler (UK).
2. 1993The network becomes Nexia International, from the Latin and Greek “nexus”: a link, or being next.
3. 2016Nexia launches a new brand identity. The symbol represents the carabiner mountaineers use to secure themselves as they climb as a team, trusting each other.

Forum of Firms

Nexia International and its member firms are members of the Forum of Firms, whose objective is to promote consistent, high-quality standards of financial and auditing practice worldwide. Members confirm that their policies and methodologies for transnational audits are based, as far as practical, on International Standards on Auditing; that they conform to the IESBA Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants and national codes of ethics; that they maintain quality control in accordance with International Standards on Quality Control; and that, where national regulation allows, they conduct regular globally co-ordinated internal quality assurance reviews.
